Pictogram Unification Project
In this project, I teamed up with three other designers to clean up the messy world of pictograms across our digital platforms. We had a lot of fragmented, inconsistent icon sets, and our mission was to merge them into one unified visual language. It was a true team effort to ensure that everything finally followed the same brand logic and looked like it belonged together.
Brainstorming & Semantics
I took an active part in team workshops where we analyzed hundreds of icons. Together, we debated visual metaphors and explored alternative symbols to find the most intuitive solutions for our users.
Finding the Compromise
Iconography can be subjective, so I focused on navigating through our different creative ideas to find a solid middle ground that met both brand standards and technical constraints.
Building the EML Foundation
Alongside the team, I helped migrate the finalized assets into the Electrolux Media Library (EML), creating a "single source of truth" accessible to everyone in the company, from designers to marketing teams.
Technical Quality Control
I was responsible for the final "pixel-pushing," ensuring that every vector was technically perfect. I focused on unifying line weights, aligning fonts, and defining the right breathing space to keep the symbols legible and balanced.
